OUR SEED EXCHANGE IS LOCATED AT CENTRAL OREGON LOCAVORE!!
How to use the exchange
General - This is seed that anyone may purchase for growing and using however they like.
Reserve - Only those who are willing and able to grow out and harvest seed in an isolated area, and reoffer the seed the season after the harvest may purchase reserved seed. This will insure the continued development of these strains.
Anyone donating seed should provide as much detail as possible about the seeds. If these are from a seed company and are in their original packet, no further info is needed. If not, write down your name or your farm's name, the variety, what year they were grown, a description (color, size), where they were originally sourced from, what the growing conditions were, number of days to maturity, etc.
If you don't have all the information, just provide what you can.
Example:
Earth Goddess Farm
Painted Hill Sweet Corn 2011
every color in the rainbow, 5' tall plants, 6-12" ears
great variation offers a chance for many different possible selections
from Peace Seeds 2009, our seed 2010
Planted in mid Spring each year in loamy sand, survived multiple freezes, drought, flooding
